And it's a nice one.

Only 'cause it just had a bath (note the garden hose in the pic)  :& *$

There were several C3's on the Rainbow Run, one had a Syndicate sticker on the back window, looked to be a late '70's car, tried to find the owner to ask about his wheels

Not quite true... There was at least one more that I saw (DDAWSON on CF), but yours and the green one parked together looked so sweet!

Dawson's is a 69...close though :& first time I've seen his car in person, looked real good *$ *$ but we were on the road at that time, never got a chance to see it up close

That green 68 parked next to mine had a set of 17" Torq Thrusts that looked good, since I'm in the market for a new set of wheels, that is going a long way towards my decision on what to get....ain't made up my mind yet though

Yeah, been looking at both sizes....I like the TT's and the Coy's in the polished finish...I'm stuck on tires, too many sizes ):?

Tough decision with all the choices out there. I do agree with Daniel though, 17"-18" would look nice  y12

Thanx for the pics Daniel

As I said earlier, been checking out both Torq Thrust and Coys in 17"-18"

TT's w/ the back spacings and widths I want are available in 17"....not so for the 18"

http://www.wheelsforless.com/VN5157861

Coys have the back spacings in 18" off the shelf w/o getting into custom sizes, but the width stops at 17x8"

According to the boys over at CF (after many searches and looking at related threads) I see I can run an 18x9.5" rim w/ 5.5" bs along w/ a 255 tire.....won't know for sure till I get out and measure

OK, jacked up the back of the 68, pulled the wheels and did some measuring....an 18x9.5 wheel w/5.5 bs will fit, not much room left over but it'll fit..

what size tires like a 265/40/18? Chrome?

Also check with big O tire in downtown Danville talk to Jason and mention Hooked On Driving. I got a good discount from them on a couple tires for the burban couple weeks ago.

Thnx for the info Daniel....was thinking of a 265 or 275....something of a larger diameter than what I have now (235-60-15) and help fill the wheel well....may have to lower the back end a bit more but with the added height from a slightly larger diameter tire this should not be an issue....going w/ polished aluminum, never cared for chrome wheels on a C3. Got more measuring/searching to do yet before I settle on anything

Scott, thanks for the links took a look and they will help *$
